We went to the UT vs Tech game in Austin this weekend and Ryan purchased Bentley's first Texas shirt. It's a 12-month t-shirt so it will fit perfectly when football season rolls around next year. Ryan is very proud of it. Thought it was cute and wanted to share! Go Longhorns!

She's Back...
If you haven't heard the new Whitney Houston CD you need to check it out!
If you watch Oprah everyday like I do you would have seen her interview with Whitney the past two days. It was awesome! Anyways, I grew up listening to Whitney and very happy that she is back. The best songs on her CD is number 4 "I look to you" and number 7 "I didn't know my own strength".
Go buy it you will love it!

Boy O' Boy...IT'S A BOY!
WOW! What a surprise?!? There is a very happy mommy and daddy in the Long household this weekend. We couldn't believe when the nurse said "It's a boy." I wish I had a video camera in the sonogram room when Janet announced it. I would have loved to share with you Ryan's reaction.
You are probably wondering how we found out before October 5th. Well, I had my 16 week appointment on Friday afternoon. Teresa, my nurse, called and said that Dr. Robins had scheduled a sonogram to check the progress of my placenta. We were excited to get a sneak peek of the baby. She said that I was far enough along that we could possibly find out the sex but it just depended on the position of the baby. So all week Ryan and I knew that there was a possibility but we didn't share with anyone just in case it didn't work out.
That wasn't the case at all. Bentley Michael was very proud of showing off his little pee-pee to his parents. As soon as we started the sonogram I spotted it right away. I immediately asked the nurse if it was a penis and she proceeded to zoom in. That is when she confirmed I was correct and announced it was a BOY! At that moment Ryan's face dropped, he buried his face in his hands and tears of joy started streaming down his face. It was a very emotional moment for all of us. After she confirmed it was 100% a boy I was ready to move on from his private parts and check out his face. Apparently Bentley wasn't ready for that. Every good picture we got he would find a way to flip over and show us his pee-pee. Janet laughed and said "I just think he wants to make it clear to you that he is a boy." It was hilarious! Bentley Michael already showing off?!?
I guess we all know he definitely is a Long baby.
We are both healthy and doing well! Bentley is already 7 inches long and his little heart rate is 154 and strong! As some of you might know I had spotting in my 11th week due to placenta previa. Well, it has completely moved from my cervix and I am free to start exercising! I have gained 1 pound in the past 4 weeks. My appetite is picking up so I'm sure I'll be packing the pounds on soon. I have a small baby bump now but I'll post some pictures of myself in a couple of weeks when I start to show more. Overall, it was a great appointment for all of us!
Ryan and I are so excited to announce our little precious jewel, Bentley Michael! We feel so honored and blessed to have a healthy baby boy but know this is truly a gift from our God.

Labor Day Fun
Ryan and I spend Labor Day weekend on the Carrekers BIG boat. Wow...that was an amazing experience. We had a fabulous time laughing, eating, relaxing, and cruising down the Florida coast with some great friends.
I had never been to Miami but loved it. It is probably the best place to people watch. We saw some interesting women on the beach especially the ones topless. That was pretty funny. Anyways, I might have gotten a little too much sun...oops. I didn't realize your skin was so sensitive during pregnancy. I guess I learned my lesson but at least I'm tan!
This trip was a first for me. I had never been on a yacht much less seen one in person. But I must say this trip will go down as one of my favorite vacations ever! Thank you Chris and Lindsay for your generosity. Hope you all enjoy the pictures below. We had our very own photographer on board, Lindsey Fusch. Love to all!

Is it February yet?
I'm ready to meet this little bundle of joy! Every night I say a prayer for this baby and just hope one day I'll be the mommy my mom was to me. Right now it's quite overwhelming to think in 6 months I get to bring a miracle into this world.
But as of now we are both healthy and doing great! Since I haven't talked to some of you in awhile here is a brief update. I'm 15 weeks and currently the baby is a size of an orange. I'm feeling much better and starting to get my energy back. I think I've hit the "nesting stage" because I've been organizing everything. From the kitchen cabinets, to the laundry room, to all the closets, and now cleaning out the longhorn room. Ryan probably thinks I'm going crazy but I just keep saying "it's hormones, I can't explain." As for food, I haven't had many cravings. It's been more of a chore to eat just because everything still makes me sick other than vegetables and milkshakes. Ryan makes me either a strawberry or chocolate milkshake every night...yum!
Boy or Girl? We find out the sex on October 5th, my birthday! I thought that would be a perfect birthday gift. And yes we already have names too. If it's a boy it's Bentley Michael. Bentley named after Ryan's Grandpa and Michael is Ryan's middle name and my dad's first name. If it's a girl it's Anabelle Marie. Anabelle is a name I love and Marie is my middle name. Surprisingly, these names came easy to agree on. I think just because they are perfect for us!
Last Thursday I felt the baby kick for the first time. That was the most amazing feeling. When I went to the doctor for my 12 week visit he told me that I would probably start feeling the baby sooner than most just because the way my placenta was positioned but I was not expecting that! It happened soon after I finished off a salty bag of potato chips. So of course the next day I had to have another bag and it happened again. Since then the baby has been kicking mainly before lunch time and bed time.
Next week I go back to the doctor for another sonogram, a check-up and another round of blood work. So I will keep you all posted. But until then enjoy the sonogram pictures I posted.
Hope this brings you up to speed....Love to all! :)
