Prayer Guide for your little one!

I just wanted to share a prayer guide I learned at our parenting class at our church.
This week we discussed God's Word and how we apply it to raising children.
We were given a great tool for ways to pray scripture over them and I really wanted to share.
I framed this and planning to hang it in Mr. B's nursery as a reminder for myself.
Hope all of you new and old mommy's can use it too!

Ten Gifts I'd Give My Kids
1. A love for God's Word. (2 Tim. 2:2; Prov. 3:15-17; Ps. 1:1-2)
2. A love for, adoration of and surrender to Jesus Christ. (1 Cor. 11:1)
3. An understanding of grace. (Eph. 1:7; Ps. 103:10)
4. A passion for prayer. (2 Tim. 2:1-3)
5. An authentic faith.
6. A commitment to the uncommitted. (Matt. 5:16; Gal. 6:14)
7. Relevance, innovation and flexibility. (Matt. 9:17; Phil. 2.:3)
8. Friends worth having.
9. An expectation to be something great. (1 Pet. 4:10)
10. How to fight to the better end. (Eph. 4:1-3; Rom. 12:18)

BIG baby bump!

No progress since last week's visit.
His nursery is ready to go. All his clothes and bedding are washed and put away.
Monday, my doctor told us to get our bags packed.
Of course that means shopping for nursing bras and comfy pjs... so my mom and I headed to Nordstrom this week! It's crazy to think he is coming in less than a month!
I'm so ready to meet my new love! :)

P.S. I'll update everyweek to keep everyone in the loop.

Quick Update

Had my weekly doctor's appointment yesterday and I'm progressing well.
Bentley is starting to "drop" which explains my 4 visits to the bathroom everynight.
Doctor estimates him to be about 6.5 pounds.
He said my weight gain is better than 90% of his patients so of course I had to go by Braum's afterwards to celebrate with a chocolate malt...WooHoo!

I'm still working and it's kicking my butt mentally and physically. We are busy, busy, busy!
Planning to work up to labor but hopefully it will help make the time go by faster.
I'm just now in the waiting stage so when Bentley decides to come out you all will know!

It's been awhile!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year's! We sure did!
It went by fast and can't believe we are already in 2010.
Bentley had a great Christmas too! He's not even here yet and he received more presents than everyone else. I can't imagine what next year's Christmas is going to be like?!?

I have to share one of my favorite Christmas presents. My sister gave me a pair of rollerblades. How awesome is that!?! We died laughing when I opened it because we all just pictured me and Bentley flying down our street... me in rollerblades while pushing him in the jogging stroller. It's a good thing because I'm in a wedding 2 months after he arrives and I'll have some baby weight to work off. Sisters know best! :)

We had a great New Year's too! It was very low key and the best part was that we were in bed by midnight! Ryan took me to a romantic dinner at Perry's and then we went over to Angelica's to play with all the kiddos. Our holiday's are going to be very different from here on out!
Hope you had a fabulous Christmas and New Year's too!

Here's a Bentley Update...

We are in our final weeks and counting down. I have enjoyed the past 8 months of pregnancy but about over it. The sleeping has stopped, the back aches are painful, the labor nightmares are scary, my fingers and toes feel like balloons and I'm exhausted! As you can tell I'm ready for delivery. My sweet husband has been rubbing my back everynight, sending me to Nordstrom Spa on a regular basis for prenatal massages and keeping our kitchen stocked with all my cravings. He has been the biggest support and I don't know what I would have done without with him. Thanks babe!
Bentley and I are doing good and growing alot these days. I'm still measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule and Bentley is weighing close to 5lbs. Since my visits are regular now my doctor will start checking for dilation and thinning of my uterus. That's when we will know a more accurate due date. I'll keep you all posted on the progress!

My checklist is almost completed...one more birth class, a few more showers, and we start parenting class at our church next week. The nursery is almost complete! I'm waiting on a painting I had made so once I receive that I'll post some pictures of his room. His room is adorable and I hope he loves it and finds it very comfy.

Love to all! Please continue to keep us in your prayers!

P.S. I loved all the Christmas Cards! It's such a joy to see all the growing families :)
