Bentley's ELMO party!

Bentley turned "2" on February 11th!

Being 37 weeks pregnant I threw together a party fast but it turned out to be such a fun celebration!
We had the bounce house set up and my mom and sister put on a "sesame street" puppet show for all the kids.  Elmo and his whole crew came.  You should have seen these kids faces...amazement!
It was hilarious!  Of course I can't forget the Elmo cupcakes...Bentley's favorite part.
The red icing made for GREAT pictures! :)

Bentley woke up the next morning and said "Mommy, Elmo party again?"  I died laughing!
I guess some of those last minute ideas always seem to be the best!

"sprinkle shower"

a few of my girlfriends threw farrah and i a "sprinkle shower".
i had never been to one before but feel in love with the theme.
it was the most precious idea ever...a sprinkle of friends, a sprinkle of family, and a sprinkle of gifts.

sondra made this for bentley...so cute!

baby sister has a name, finally!

After 35 weeks of debating on names we finally have one for our sweet baby girl!
Farrah Marie Long!
Farrah is a name we both loved and Marie is my middle name. :)

So far I've been blessed with a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby.
She is due Feb 27th and we only have 1.5 weeks left...I'm ready!
We had a sonogram last week and she is measuring 7lbs.  She looked precious.
I'm so anxious to meet her and big brother Bentley is too.
He talks about baby sister like she is already here.
He'll run up to me and tickle my tummy and say "tickle baby sister".

I'll keep you all posted on Miss Farrah's arrival!

our remodel

here are just a few pictures of the remodel we did at grandpas house.
we were very pleased with the results and enjoying living here temporarily.

if you know of a family looking to rent let us know.
we will probably be ready to rent it out this fall.

christmas chaos

i'll start with christmas...

some of you might not know but we decided to tear down our house and rebuild.
that means we had to move.  where were we going to move too?

after sweet grandpa longs passing we decided to remodel his house and move in.
alot easier said than done...especially when you are pregnant with a toddler fighting the holidays.
early november we started the remodel and six weeks later (the week of christmas) we were moved in.
we got a tree up four days before christmas and got to enjoy Jesus' birthday even after 2 months of crazy chaos--remodeling, packing, and unpacking etc...

after all that stress we were finally in a house.  my next agenda was to get unpacked and bentley settled in his new home before baby sister arrives.  i only had 2 months to do that.  well it's accomplished!  baby sister is coming in 1.5 weeks (or less) and bentley loves his temporary home.  we are settled, ready for baby sister, and starting the demo/rebuild on our home...we have a BUSY year ahead of us but i'm ready for it all!

this was our christmas card picture...my sweet, precious, adorable family!
i am blessed beyond words!

i'm back!

it has been way to long since i've blogged and i'm SO sorry!
i've been getting a lot pressure to start again so here it goes...
A LOT has been happening with the Longs so i'll try to get you all up to date fast. :)
