short update...

Can't believe 11 weeks have gone by.
Bentley is 11 lbs 14 ozs. He is a growing boy!
I'm loving being at home with him.
It's fun to see how much he changes each day.
I'm really not missing work as much as I thought I would.
The little man is keeping me busy...

Sleeping is still great. He's been consistently sleeping 8 hours straight for the past 3 weeks.
Every once in awhile he will slip in 10 hours which is super exciting.
XOXOXO...

Happy Birthday Sista!

Look what Michele did on Sunday. She celebrated her 30th birthday last month and for her present we got her 10 laps around Texas Motor Speedway. We had the best day!

She got to drive a race car up to 160 mph around the track with an instructor.
Too bad they didn't have a car with the number 30 on it but she got to drive 39.
She did awesome! It was a fun day! :)

Keep on Movin...

Today is a sad day for me.
I had to say my good-byes to Southwest Airlines.
Yep, I offically resigned to be a stay at home mommy.
I'm actually crying writing this because this is a very hard transition for me.
It's not everyday when you are blessed to get your dream job right out of college and love the people and company you work for. Southwest Airlines is everything you hear about and more. It's the best company to work for and the most fun. The past four years have been a blessing but I feel this change is the best thing for our family.

I've worked over half of my life. I started working at age 13 and there hasn't been many days gone by where I didn't get up to go into work. I'll never forget the first day I started working. I was in my backyard jumping on my trampoline with 3 friends when I got a call from our neighborhood golf course saying they needed a girl to come in and work the beverage cart. That day was the first day of many days at the golf course.

I try to think of this as a career change. As I was gettting ready this morning there were alot of tears being shed. As I was leaving the house Bentley gave me this big smile and it made it all worth while. I feel blessed that I have a husband that is a great provider so I have the opportunity to stay home. God is good!

When I went in this morning to give my notice I was so thankful everyone was so supportive and happy for me. Many hugs to Southwest Airlines. The best airline to fly!

This is what I get to look at everyday from now on. Much better than a computer screen! ;)

2 Months

We made it to the two month mark and it's amazing to see how much Bentley has changed from 2 weeks to 2 months. He is so much fun with his big smiles and coos and goos.

He had his two month doctor's appointment yesterday and we got a A+.
Bentley is weighing 10lbs 14ounces and close to 23 inches long. Yay!
Our doctor was so impressed he was already sleeping through the night, he told me not to change a thing. So we will continue to do what we are doing...routine!
Eventhough we had a great report he had to get the dreaded 2 month shots. I think I was more scared than he was or at least that is what Ryan said. It brought tears to my eyes when Bentley started crying. It's the type of cry when it becomes quiet and then seconds later is the loud break through. Oh I hate those cries. It breaks my heart everytime I hear them. Anyways, he is better now. He had a fever last night and this morning but he's doing better.
I had a SUPER fabulous weekend!
I have the best husband and best girlfriends!!!! My husband watched Bentley so I could go to the lakehouse with my girlfriends to celebrate my friend Ashley. Eventhough it was hard leaving Bentley I knew I needed to do it. I got to spend Saturday and Saturday night hanging out, laying out, laughing, relaxing and being loved on by my friends. It was a blast. I came back refreshed and felt like a new mommy! And I couldn't have done that without my awesome husband. He did great with Bentley and took over like a champ. Thank you!!!!
